Frank Kozik, founder of Man’s Ruin Records, who became legendary for his album covers and concert posters, has died at the age of 61.
The sad news was published on the artist’s social networks.
“We regret to inform you that Frank Kozik passed away unexpectedly last Saturday,” the statement said.
Frank was an older man, an icon in all the fields he worked on. He radically changed all the industries in which he was involved. We feel lucky and honored to be a part of his journey.
He loved his wife, cats, classic cars, teaching others and Disneyland. His powerful presence will be missed by all who knew him. Like all great masters, his legacy and art will live on in our memories with him.”
WHO IS FRANK KOZIK?
Frank Kozik has worked with numerous artists since the 1990s. He especially came to the aid of alternative rock bands. Among the names he has worked with are Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Offsispring, Melvins, Red Hot Chili Pepper, Cypress Hill.
In the last years of his life, he made dolls and figurines.
